DITA-based structured information project of moderate complexity containing approximately 350 source files.  “Ground-truth” information about DITA from 2006-2011. Now the knowledge base suffers from outdated content and broken links.

One takeaway from our attempts to manage the unmanageable is that we should have broken it up into multiple topic sets years ago: about 100 topics per set seems like a sensible target maximum.
