C/2023 A3 (Atlas) is a long-period comet discovered on January 9, 2023, by the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) project. The comet follows a highly elongated orbit, originating far from the Sun in the outer reaches of the solar system.

Starting on October 13, 2024 this comet was an amazing sight from our back deck. This first photo was taken with my iPhone using the Nocturne app. The comet was too much of a wide angle shot for the Seestar.

Once the comet had moved further away from Earth, I took many images using the Seestar, some as late as early November.
