A galaxy is a massive system of stars, gas, dust, and dark matter bound together by gravity. Galaxies come in various shapes and sizes, such as spiral, elliptical, and irregular. They can contain billions or even trillions of stars, along with planetary systems, nebulae, and black holes. Our solar system is part of the Milky Way galaxy.
