M 101 Pinwheel Galaxy
Messier 101, also known as M101 or NGC 5457, is a face-on spiral galaxy located about 21 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. It is notable for its large size, well-defined spiral arms, and rich star-forming regions, earning it the nickname the "Pinwheel Galaxy."

M101 is accompanied by several smaller satellite galaxies.
