Population
As of 2025, El Dorado Hills has an estimated population of about 50,000, according to U.S. Census Bureau data and local estimates. Growth has slowed compared to previous decades, averaging 500–700 new residents annually in recent years.
Expansion continues through new single-family and multi-family developments. The community now includes more than 17,000 housing units, reflecting steady residential demand. The ultimate build-out population is projected at approximately 60,000, although growth is occurring more gradually than once anticipated.
Recent growth is linked to new housing construction, the rise of remote work, and the area's strong appeal for families due to schools and community amenities.
