Villages
El Dorado Hills is informally divided into residential villages, a structure that has evolved as the community has grown. The village concept remains important for community identity, planning, and the provision of services by the El Dorado Hills Community Services District (CSD).
As of late 2025, the following villages and major residential areas are recognized within El Dorado Hills and are generally served by the CSD:

- Blackstone (major master-planned community developed after 2010)
- Bridlewood Canyon
- Crown Village
- Four Seasons (active adult community)
- Franciscan Village
- Governor Village
- Green Ranch
- Green Valley Acres
- Heritage (active adult community)
- Highland Hills
- Highland Village
- La Cresta
- Lake Hills Estates (Lake Village/Hills of El Dorado)
- Lakeridge Oaks
- Marina Village
- Oak Creek Hills
- Oak Tree Village
- Park Village
- Promontory
- Ridgeview Village
- Serrano (including villages A, B, D1-3, H, I, J, K1-4, L, M1, and new villages N, O, P, Q, and R developed since 2003)
- Silver Springs
- St. Andrews Village
- Stonegate Village
- Summit Village
- Valley View
- Villadoro
- Village of the Lake
- Waterford Village
Note:
Formal names and boundaries may differ between the CSD, local HOA documents, and
the real estate marketing materials.

Some areas of El Dorado Hills are not served by the main CSD or have their own service districts. As of 2025, these include:
- Clarksville
- Springfield Meadows (with its own CSD)
- Portions of the Serrano and Blackstone developments (with private amenities and associations)
The village structure continues to evolve as new developments are approved and built.
